UNDERSTANDING ANALYTICS
Analytics transforms audit results into clear trends, highlighting recurring issues, compliance gaps, and areas of strength. By identifying patterns and gaps, you can make evidence-based decisions, allocate resources more effectively, and develop targeted improvement plans. All the data created can be downloaded and/or shared with different audiences.
To begin you will need to create a template and a layout.
A Template is the analytics category you are creating in QRM.
It defines:
- The type of QRM data you want to analyze
- The overall focus of the analytics such as Infection Prevention, Medication Safety, or Falls
A Layout is how the analytics data is organized and displayed.
It controls:
- How charts and tables are arranged
- What visual components appear
- How users view and filter the data
- A layout defines how the data is presented.
To Create a Template/Layout
- From the main menu on the left side, click Analytics
- If you have an existing Template, use the drop down arrow to select the Template, or Click Create New
Create a New Template
- Click Create New
- Click New Template
- Type your Program Name/Topic (i.e. Skin and Wound, Falls Prevention etc.)
- Type in your description (Optional)
- Click Submit
Creating a Layout
- Click Create New
- Click New Layout
- Click QRM
- Type in Layout Name (i.e. KPI/Correlation)
- Select the date range you would like to review.
- Click Submit and Continue
Select the data criteria you would like to review/gather data on.
There are 2 options which include By Question and By Indicator.
There is a default filter/view which includes: QRM Question, QRM Answer and User.
Standard Output: Click the Show Toolbar toggle to enable editing of the filter options.
The system is highly customizable, allowing users to rearrange the filters and view the data in the way that works best.
The options include viewing the data percentages vs. whole numbers, different time frames ( i.e. quarters). The percentage is based on a denominator (total audits completed) divided by the nominator (selected option i.e. improvement in wound).
Details: You can click on any graph or bar to see more details. Use the dropdown arrow in the column to add or remove filters for the extra data.
