CREATING BADGES

About This Feature

The purpose of creating badges and rewards is to celebrate milestones and achievements.

Below are the instructions on how to create a badge.

The dashboard is displayed. The page is divided into sections. The employee name is at the top of the screen. Under the employee name are the coloured tiles. Under the coloured tiles is a list of the courses to be completed. In the middle of the page is a progression wheel and the badge listings. Highlighted is the function box titled Create a Badge. On the right side is the message box, Live event listing, and the additional links box.

From the Surge Dashboard, click CREATE A BADGE

Complete the below fields:

Trigger Type - The trigger type is the accomplishment, a trigger type can be the Number of optional courses completed.

Trigger Rule - The trigger rule is the rule of when the reward/badge will be granted. For example, setting the number 10 means a badge will be administered after the user has completed 10 Optional Courses.

Badge Title – Identifies the achievement. For example: Completed 10 Optional Modules.

Badges can be customized by changing the badge colour, and adding badge icons.

Click Save once the badge has been created.  

The new badge page is displayed. The 2 options of badges and rewards is on the left hand side of the page, with the word badge highlighted. The additional information on the page include: Trigger type, Trigger Rule, Badge title. In the middle of the page is a preview of the badge image. On the right hand side of the page are the options of the backgrounds. The save button is circle with a dark blue outline.

To view the created badges or edit click the pencil icon.

The Configuration page is displayed with a list of created badges. There are 4 columns, they are listed in the following order: Badge icon, Badge Name, Description, and Edit. A clickable button titled Create New badge is on the top right corner.
