HOW TO UPLOAD A SCORM FILE
Custom Content and Resources can be uploaded to Surge Learning. Surge Learning can support videos (ie. Youtube, mp4, vimeo); SCORM and PDF. All Content is uploaded in the Resource Centre.
Scorm files are interactive type courses created using authoring tools such as Captivate, ISpring and Articulate. Scorm files must be published in either Scorm 1.2 or Scorm 2004.

How to Upload A Scorm File
- From the side menu bar, click Resource Centre and click ADD NEW RESOURCE.
- Type in the Resource Name
3. Type in the Author/Creator (if applicable)
4. Select the category the education belongs to using the drop down arrow. You can also create a new Education Category. Click Create New to begin the process of creating a new Education Category.
- Select a sub-category if applicable.
5. Then select submit and continue
6. Click Add Content
Note: A pop up box will open and you can upload the Scorm file.
Click the Browse button to select your file, and click upload.
7. Type the length of course.
8. Add any applicable Source Document (not visible to the user) or Reference Documents (visible to the user).
9. Select the Active Status
10. Once you have completed the above steps - you can then select to:
- Submit and continue - this will allow you to add a Pre-Test, Post-Test and Assign the education
- Submit - Add the course to the Resource Centre
Adding a Test or Assigning the Course During the Course Creation (Optional)
As these are optional, you can SKIP over this process and add the assignment to the Resource Centre.
The fields to adding questions are the same, and the test can also be copied from existing tests:
- To add a Pre-Test, click the Pre-test button
To add a Post-Test, click the Post-test button
- Type in:
- Test title
- Instructions
- Select the sequencing type (shuffled or defined order)
3. Type in the question(s).
The options for the quiz questions are:
- Radio button (only 1 selection can be made)
- Checkbox button (multiple selections can be selected)
- Text Box button (free text option)
Ensure to select the correct answer, and there is the option to add a Rational to each of the options.
4. Select either:
- Post - Test (if applicable)
- Submit (To Finish)
- Assign (if appliacable)
