How to Add a Test to a Course

HOW TO ADD A TEST TO A COURSE

You can add tests (Pretest and Post test)  to any custom education that your organization has been uploaded to the Surge Learning  database.

To add a test:

1. Click the Resource Centre icon on the left main menu bar
2. Locate the course within the Resource Centre
3. Click the pencil icon

Note: You can edit additional information including the course length, category etc.

 4. Click submit and continue

Note: You can review/edit the course description, outline etc.

 5. Click submit and continue

Note: This will take you to the page in which you can add a pretest or posttest. As these are optional, you can SKIP over this process and add the assignment to the Resource Centre.

The fields to adding questions are the same, and the test can also be copied from existing tests:

 1. To add a Pre-Test, click the Pre-test button

To add a Post-Test, click the Post-test button

 2. Type in:

1. 1. Test title
   2. Instructions
   3. Select the sequencing type (shuffled or defined order)

 3.  Type in the question(s).

      The options for the quiz questions are:

• Radio button (only 1 selec tion can be made)
• Checkbox button (multiple selections can be selected)
• Text Box button (free text option)

Ensure to select the correct answer, and there is the option to add a Rational to each of the options.

 4.  Select either:

• • Post - Test (if applicable)
  • Submit (To Finish)
  • Assign (if applicable)
